Recrystallised stone is a stone that is not born that way in nature, but pieces of other natural stones are fused together to create it.
The difference is that in recrystallised stones, pieces of natural stones are fused together to create the stone that is then mounted on the Jewellery. It is therefore a stone that is not born that way in nature, but pieces of other natural stones are fused together to create it. The synthetic, on the other hand, is born in a laboratory and is in no way a derivative of a natural stone, but is recreated ad hoc.
Comete Jewellery guarantees the authenticity of its jewellery and stones.
Comete favours the brilliant cut in its JEWELLERY, the cut that most enhances the brilliance and shine of all precious stones.
Yes, all Comete gemstones are also sold individually in different carats and packaged in durable blister packs to retain their preciousness. Diamonds, Aquamarine, Sapphires, Rubies and Emeralds from the History of Light Collection to wish good luck on special Occasions such as Births, Christenings and other Religious Ceremonies.
Our JEWELLERY uses mainly SI Purity and G Colour diamonds. Diamonds often have some tiny imperfections inside them, called inclusions. The clarity scale ranges from F (Flawless = free of imperfections) to I (Included = inclusions). Therefore, SI Clarity for a diamond determines how many tiny imperfections the diamond has, based on the clarity scale. In this specific case, SI is the abbreviation for Small Inclusions and applies to diamonds whose inclusions are small, but visible with a 10x magnifying glass.
Comete is committed to the ethical and sustainable sourcing of materials. The company has long been socially responsible, as well as committed to the environment, and we believe that sourcing our precious metals responsibly is of the utmost importance. Comete has a zero-tolerance policy towards diamonds from conflict countries and only purchases diamonds from mines located in countries participating in the Kimberley Process.
A stone of 1 Carat carat, which corresponds to 100 Carat Points, measures 6.4 mm using a calibre. 0.25 Carat corresponds to 4 mm, 0.50 to 5.2 mm, 0.75 to 5.8 mm, finally 1.25 Carat is equivalent to 7 mm in diameter and so on.
Diamonds originate in the Earth's mantle, where the very high pressure conditions necessary for their formation exist. The crystals are brought to the surface, encased in a rock containing a lot of olivine called kimberlite, by volcanic conduits through eruption. This gives rise to the diamond chimneys of the primary deposits. Later, through erosion, the kimberlite can be crushed, releasing the diamonds into secondary deposits, usually alluvial.
