Its purity is measured in carats, which indicates the amount of pure gold contained in a piece of jewelry: Comete white gold jewelry is made of 18-carat gold or 750 ‰ and is therefore made up of 750 ‰ pure gold and the remaining 250 ‰ of other metals.
